Sugar Rush

Step into the candy dream land with Sugar Rush and explore the exciting rewards that awaits you!

Sugar Rush by Pragmatic Play is a treat filled adventure slot game that operates on a 7×7 grid without any paylines. The game instead runs on the cluster pay system, which will have you spinning relentlessly to grab rewards as high as 5000x your stake.

So, if you’re ready to test your luck, Sugar Rush is the way to go. But, before you jump right into the slot, here are a couple things worth noting about the game. Let’s begin!

How to Play Sugar Rush

Sugar Rush is a rather simple slot with a fresh interface, smooth graphics, and a control system that’s easy to grasp. So, if you’re ready to step into the game, here are some steps you can follow.

1. Click on the “i” icon to access the game rules and paytable. This isn’t necessary but if you’re just starting out, it will allow you to understand the slot better.

2. Select your bet size by using the (+)(-) sign located at the bottom right of the screen.

3. Click on the spin button (two circular arrows) located between the (+)(-) signs.

Theme, Design, and Sounds

The name itself pretty much gives away the theme of the game and the design is exactly what anyone would envision “Sugar Rush” to be like. It has a colourful background filled with tons of lollipops and candy, there’s all kinds of sweets placed on the reels, which serve as the symbols, and the overall grid is very reminiscent of a candy factory machine.

Much like the vibrant visuals, the soundtrack is equally magical with whimsical beats and jingles playing consistently throughout the game. Overall, this creates a stunning and an immersive experience for players, which adds on to the excitement of each spin.

Gameplay

Sugar Rush is played on a simple 7×7 grid and follows the scatter pay system instead of the traditional pay lines. This removes the need to form matching symbols on fixed paylines and focuses on landing a group of matching symbols anywhere on the grid. To land a win, a cluster of 5 or more matching symbols must be formed, which are connected either horizontally or vertically.

Special Features

Special or bonus features are basically what elevates any slot game. These are additional features that allow players to potentially gain extra rewards or increase their wins. So, let’s have a look at what Sugar Rush offers.

Tumble Feature

The tumble feature gets activated when players land a win during the base game. Once activated, the winning symbols disappear from the grid and the empty reels are filled with new symbols. If the new symbols form a winning combo, the tumble feature continues and only stops when no winning combinations are formed.

Multiplier Spots feature

This feature is triggered after a winning symbol creates an explosion, leaving a mark in that particular position on the grid. Typically a multiplier is then added if another symbol explodes in the same position. The multiplier starts with 2x and continues upto 128x, given a new symbol keeps exploding in the same place.

Free Spins feature

When players land 3 or more scatter symbols during the tumble sequence, it triggers the free spin mode, which rewards players with a maximum of 30 free spins (depending on the number of scatter). During this bonus round, highlighted positions and multipliers remain intact until the round ends.

Symbols and Pay Table

A total of 7 payable symbols are present in Sugar Rush, each of these come with a different return value based on the cluster size. These symbols are also categorised into low, medium, and high value symbols. The low value symbols consist of the Red, Purple, and Orange bears, the medium consists of Purple bean and Green star, and the high value ones include the Orange Heart and Pink lollipop.

If you’re interested to know the payout value of each symbol, here’s a breakdown of the payout based on a stake value of £1.

RTP and Volatility

Sugar Rush has a Return to Player (RTP) rate of 92.03% at Monster Casino, while Pragmatic Play’s default version is set at 96.50%. Either way, this is just a theoretical stat and players shouldn’t immediately expect high returns, especially during a short play.

Looking into the game’s volatility, it remains highly volatile. This means there’s a possibility of landing significant payouts but players could potentially experience long dry spells in between. Hence, make sure you’re playing the game responsibly since it’s hard to determine when you’ll actually land a win.

Sugar Rush on Mobile

Sugar Rush runs on HTML5 technology, which essentially allows the game to be fully optimised for mobile play. It’s also compatible with different operating systems such as iOS and Android. Despite being on a smaller screen, the design remains crisp, and the game runs just as smoothly.
