Variations of Baccarat: Types, rules, and card values

Here, the dealer burns the first card face up and then based on the numeric value with aces worth 1, ends up with face cards worth 10, then the dealer burns those cards face down. 

• Mini-Baccarat 

Mini Baccarat is the smallest version of the game where the banker is paid the winning bets. This variation of the game originated in the year 2004. And there are two types of Mini-Baccarat, namely super 6 and EZ Baccarat. 

• Baccarat Banque 

In this version of the game, the banker’s position is permanent. The shoe contains the three shuffled decks. Here, the banker holds the office until he quits by his free will or due to exhaustion of the money.

• European Baccarat 

This version of Live Baccarat is different from the American version of the game in two ways:

Firstly, the player has the option of standing or drawing on number 5. And secondly, the banker has the option of whether he must draw a third card or not. Even though the European version of the game is quite popular, the American version is what most of the casinos follow. 

• Chemin de fer 

The chemin de fer version of the Baccarat is mainly found in the casinos of European countries, especially in French casinos. Like other versions, the casino does not play the role of the banker. And the player must be the banker or the player. The casino in chemin de fer provides a dealer or croupier and provides the necessary gaming equipment.

• All the cards in Baccarat count their face values except for the 10, the jack, the queen, and the king, as their value is zero.
• The value of the ace is one and the rest of the cards have values from 2-9. And in this game, the suit of cards is not important.
• Once the bets are placed the value of the two hands are decided and it depends upon the rightmost digit from the total sum of the players and bankers’ hands.
